Last night’s meetup (our third) was pretty cool. The Yellow Dog Tavern was a perfect location for us and there was some good WordPress knowledge-sharing happening. To help keep that momentum going we’re going to start holding the Winnipeg WordPress Meetup on the first Wednesday of every month. That would make the next meeting May 4, and then June 1, and so on. Sound good? Keeping a regular date will make it easier for us all to plan around — and remember.
If you have some other ideas on making our meetups even better, we’d love to hear them!

I’ve been thinking that we could advertise through Secret Handshake on meetup.com, I believe Leanne would be glad to have us advertise our meetup through her group, and it might reach more people who are interested in meeting up about WordPress.

That’s an excellent idea.

Thanks very much, I’m glad you like it.
I am actually looking to start a weekly co-working meetup for WordPress website builders, as well as aspiring ones. Basically a number of people in the same room working on making their WordPress-based sites, and sharing knowledge and ideas. I’m mainly looking for a venue still.

Sorry I missed it. Though I have been working with WordPress about six years now, I’ve still got loads of WordPress questions and will enjoy the next meet up that I can attend!
